Rowlett High School is a great school for any parent looking to put there child in that is well-controlled, clean and has a great education opportunity as well as a great group of well disciplined kids. We enjoy the sports activities as all of the town ralleys behind the kids!

Rowlett High is a great public school. Yes, sports are focused on a lot, but the choir & band are never left out & are always recognized. The principal is strict, but for all the right reasons. I enjoy the enviroment around the school both my kids, 9th,&10th are learning well, and getting all of the extra help from their teachers to me that is great, Being hispanic in my high school Health proffessions Magnet, was great but difficult, I see that my children do not get discriminated at all,

This is a great school to attend. My sister went for her 4 years, and now I'm in 9th grade, and already, I'm havin' a great time. There are some conflicts with club activity schedules, but who really has time to join everything? The school lets students pick from several different elective and extras,

As for academics, Rowlett has a decent program (nothing extremely special), but the teachers are easy to work with, because they really do care for the students, and they realize that some people need time to work things out in terms of time restraints, especially with extracurricular schedules. It is a large school, very competitive in sports, however the band is not forgetton. While some may say the Prinicpal is strict, I think she just wants the best for the students while at RHS and also wants to prepare them for when they graduate. ... Read more students. One of our sons had problems at begining of a semester with a class, teacher worked with him first, then when little improvement was made advised us. We all worked together to improve his grades. With the great band director and assistants and the very supportive band booster organization, the students are motivated to do their best. We had one son graduate an another presently attending and both love the school. Read less

This school is very competitive when it comes to sports and extracurricular activities. However, the academics offered here are average. Some of the teachers will work with students, some are very hard for the students to talk to. The Principle is very much in charge, I am very impressed with her.

My childs grades are low, his self esteem is low, and I'm not impressed with this school at all. There is not accountability or motivation for the students. The parents only hear of a problem after it's too late to be resolved!

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Before/After School

A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
