I have traveled the world & seen many effective educational systems. PISD educational system needs much improvements. The leadership is not there; faculty members are over worked and unadaptable, and can't control their classes; extracurricular activities are very limited and biased towards athletics;

I graduated from Pearland High School in 2008. I will honestly say that many of the classes are good and offer a great curriculum with even better teachers that will prepare you for college. However, getting the right classes are hit and miss, and that's only if you're an AP student. If you're a regular

Many of the disciplinary policies are downright ridiculous, and even the ones that do make sense seem unnecessarily. On the positive side, the extracurricular opportunities are Awesome and make up for many of the downsides. There is always something to do if you know where to look. I personally was a member of the choir for four years and loved it. Read less

Regular is a complete joke and is not preparing anyone for college. last year If someone has missed 80% of their classes and was about to fail they said the kids just have to bring in coke cans and they get credit..what is that?! On a positive note the people and teachers are very down to earth and its easy to make friends. Read less

I have one daughter who attends this school and have found the staff, administration and teaching facilities to be EXCEPTIONAL. Her class has over 1000 students and the top 10% have a GPA over 4.1 - on a scale from 1-4 - thanks to advance placement. The entire school district raises the acedemic

However, because of the overbuilding of APARTMENTS in Pearland, I believe the school district will be overwhelmed with surges of students - from single household families. Aside from that, I find that any student who attends any school in Pearland will be academically challenged and will be well prepared for his/her vocation or college of choice. PHS raises the bar!
