We are very happy with CHS. Two of our children have graduated with honors and excelled in college. The school has good/caring teachers and principals. Excellent extracurricular programs if the children want to get involved. I never heard our children even mention bullying.

Some of the staff is very rude. We are ex military and my kids changed schools frequently but this is the worse school we been in. Nobody seems to care about anything. I never get a straight answer to anything, not much is done about bullying, they took my daughter out her pre ap class without telling

I have talked to the office staff with my children and they are very rude people. They do not respect my kids in any way and they talk to them as if they were four but worse, the rules and policy here at this school is horrible and should be revised. But the classes, some teachers, and the friends

We moved to New Braunfels this year and my daughter is a freshman and I must say that Canyon is the worst experience we've ever had. ... Read more students run this school. My child is a good student with a great personality and has been bullied and tormented by some of the girls at this school from day one. Talking to the principal sure didnt help anything, the incidents kept right on happening. We have since removed our child from this school and I wouldnt recommend this school to anyone. Read less

I can only say that two of my children were very unhappy with some of the front office staff and counselors. It is disapointing as a parent to see this happen to your children. I hope to see a change with the new leadership at CHS. ... Read more the recommendation of her teachers. She is also a member of the band, an excellent organization. Canyon has countless activities available to students in a variety of areas. Parents are very involved at Canyon High. Even though we are new to the community, it is very evident that students have the support of their parents and the community at-large in all of their endeavors. My daughter felt very accepted and welcomed at Canyon High. There are sub-groups within the school, but everyone seems to have a level of tolerance for one another that is rare at the high school level. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
