My son started kindergarten at Boggess the first day that it opened 6 years ago. Every day since then has been a joy! It's an amazing school full of fantastic teachers and a caring staff. They do everything that they can to be sure that your child will excel. It is a warm, loving learning environment.

I have three children who have attended Boggess. Coming from a private school background, Boggess is an absolutely wonderful public school. The principal is thoughtful and caring. He knows the children by name and takes time to speak to them in the halls. He visits each student on his/her birthday,
... Read more making the children feel very special. I've only had one problem that required his attention, and he handled the situation quickly and fairly. The teachers are young, but in some ways I think this is good. Younger teachers more easily adapt to change and tend to 'think out of the box' when it comes to educating. The cultural diversity of the Boggess community is very unique and enhances the overall student experience. The principal embraces the parent/teacher partnership. Read less

Principal tells parents what they want to hear. Teachers are young and inexperienced... although my children had two really good ones... unfortunately both were forced into early retirement. I'm not aware of extracurricular activites... parent involvement is okay if you like clicks. Disapline is

Read more good, but some consequences I don't agree with take away recess is a poor consequence in my opinion... kids don't wear helmets while riding bikes to school (more of a parental issue I guess) still schools should educate children about bike safety, something more than the bike rodeo. The school offers wonderful opportunities for the children. However, because of a legislative loophole many experienced teachers were forced to retire so that they could obtain social security. Now there a many young, inexperienced teachers.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
