My children have been here for 3 years. I loved this school. The teachers were wonderful. The support staff was great also. Its a shame we had to move. I couldn't ask for a better school. They did a lot of fun after school activities. The picnic in the park was lots of fun. They all star celebrations

The school was not so great, but I don't blame teachers. I blame the school system in general and the 'No Child Left Behind Act' which happens to leave all children behind and only sounds good. I removed my children and placed them in home school. Parents should really stop looking at the smiles on

The school is excellent. The teachers and principal really take the time to get to know the students as well as the parents. The foundation the children receive is solid and will stand throughout the childs education.

I have ben very please with Vega. The teachers all appear excited and eager for the children to learn. They are very responsive to parent questions and concerns. The principal is warm and concerned about the children's academic and social success.

Terrible School. The playground was only made for kindergarten. The children either get too cold or too hot in the portables. The pickup and drop-off line is too slow because it is being run by children and a lot of people driving suv's drive dangerously. The front office person can't work the telephone

I am a parent and class size and community are important to me. Vega has small class size about 20 students per teacher and class mother. Great about parents participation w/background check. Great about parent teacher conferences and involvement by parents. Provide lots of information about activities

We were only in McKinney for a year, but I truly enjoyed Vega Elementary and all of its staff. My children were in 3rd, and 5th grades and they also had a great year. The teachers kept me well informed throughout the year and provided extra help whenever needed.

The student ratio is excellent. My child is able to get the attention that she needs one on one. She gets help in area that she is behind in. The principal is very helpful and friendly.

Advanced Placement
