Faubion staff and administration are education professionals. The coaches really curb the rough edges if any exist using military training exercises among the standard social consequences found in private schools. The reading teachers ask for certain genre books to be read and allow families to choose

Math and science teachers would also excel if trained to identify late blooming gifted and talented students in their pre-AP classes and arranging assignments so they can be finished and turned in on time. Besides a need for touchless bathroom fixtures, energy upgrades and some curb appeal landscaping sorely needed all else is as it should be. Faubion administration has done a superb job carrying out the state's new conservative curriculum and putting the burden of behavior choices in the students' court. Glad to be a McKinney Texan. I think Faubion MS is the best middle school in McKinney. Despite its location and age of the building, the teachers are wonderful and the music programs are top notch! Faubion is an outstanding school.

My son is a special ed student and has done okay with the guidance of the teachers. I find that you have to use your best judgement when meeting with the staff on the students agenda, otherwise they focus on state scores. Thankfully the TAKS will be eliminated and the staff can focus on teaching academics

The one thing I love about this district is the parents ability to see all grades on the schools website, so you know how they are preforming. My calls and emails have always been returned and my suggestions or requests have always been answered. The schools ethnicity is diverse. Overall I recommend the school. Read less

my son complins about this schools lack of attention to the periodical studdies they must apprehend. The teachers have no sense of direction, my son has taken the step to read text books over the subject just so he can learn.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
