My child began kindergarten this year and so far I am not pleased with the schools communication and transitioning approaches. The school has sent home zero corespondence on how to prepare my child for what to expect and how to do the simpliest of things like buy lunch and locate the classroom effectively.

This is the first year for my son at Rockbrook and I have experienced diorganization and lack of communication between office staff. Unfortunalty, the office staff, principal and vice principal are very quick to judge and I feel that since this is an Elementary school for the staff that the children

My daughter transitioned well from a private montessori pre-school to the kindergarten program @ Rockbrook. My initial concern of the teaching quality (being a public school) turned out to be a non-issue as she has learnt and progressed well in her classes. I couldn't be more pleased.

My son is having some isssues with speach and temperment. We started him with this school to help him. With in 3-4 weeks we have noticed a difference. Read more ways to handle attendance issues); 2.)The school seems overcrowded (not enough teacher per classroom to handle issues that arise -- disciplinary issues left unaddressed); 3.)Teachers inappropriately handling discipline (I've walked in the main entrance to the school more than one time to see teacher disciplining or correcting students right there. This is not in front of any classroom, or the school office, just in an inappropriate location for all to hear. I would be furious if my son were disciplined here for parents/teachers/students to witness. Rockbrook isn't bad, but there are better in the area, particularly Flower Mound. Read less

Academically this school is not up to the mark in science programs. Have good music, art and sports activities. Has a PTA to keep parents involved.

Rockbrook Elementry is a wonderful school. The academic program is incredible. My daughter excels at this school with the help of the teachers. I rate this school on scale from 1 to 10 as a 10.

Advanced Placement
