My son is a freshman at LHS high school. We are very impressed so far with the curriculum and athletics. What an advantage to have an IB option. My sons classes are challenging, but the school offers alot of support for freshman during the first year. We love the geniune support from the other parents

My son has at LHS one year and I am very pleased with the school over all. The teachers always respond emails and are always available to talk to. The IB program is very well organized and the counselors do a great job on each grade. I am very pleased with sports and extracurricular activities. The Coaches

LHS is a great high school. I have no complaints. My oldest daughter graduated there last year, and has gone off to college. Another daughter is there now. There are some wonderful teachers there and the principal does his job very well.

This school may have it's problems and yes the cliques you hear about, don't let the small stuff scare you into moving somewhere else. The schools great. Great programs. Great athletics.

At LHS there are poor teachers, and very good ones, it all depends on who you get. There are plenty of train for work programs, including certification for electrical, and cosmitology while still in HS. Leander also has the IB program, and offers AP classes. However these seem to be a bit disorganized.

I think Leander is a good school, but the counselors need to interact more with students. AP's need to be more strict with discipline rather than attendance. Even though the attendance was down since last year, it's not something to go that far about. keep students under control who are in school.

I personally think that Leander can be a really good school, and has been in the past. Leander ISD in general is a really good school district. However, the administrators and principals need to know how to correctly deal with students. I think the discipline issues are present at Leander High School

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
