This school has some great programs to offer and the school is still nice since it's new. My child has had all Pre-AP classes and is doing well in his classes. He's always been a popular kid, easy to get along with, yet here he has kids bullying him. In all of his school years, this has never happened. ...  Read more

A wonderful school. My only complaint is the number of out of district parents sneaking their kids in. Hard to blame them.....it's the best school around.

It has been a wonderful year at Clear Springs in 2009, with all the extra-curriculars offered at this school. HOSA, Debate, Media Tech, and Tennis are some of the funnest organizations I could possibly join. However the honors classes are quite challenging and rigorous. And that is why you can't spell especially? I feel there is not enough attention placed on spelling, phonetics, or vocabulary. My grandchild was in AP classes and had 0 spelling or vocabulary skills.

It is now a second year school and it still has not worked out its 'kinks.' The administrators need to think about how students feel trying to carry EVERYTHING around with us. Teachers have complained about the books we carry and still they REFUSE to buy more so we don't have to lug 10-20 pound bags ...  Read more

What good does it do to assign lockers to students if they are NEVER allowed to go to them? What good does it do to assign homework if the student if prevented from bringing home the textbooks that the homework is taken from? this school has a lot of bugs to work out still. s a student, things could be done a lot more effectively, but it is only the first year. i think they should have a student suggestion paper passed around the advisories to see what the students would like to change for next year.

* In 2008-2009, the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was used to test students in reading in grades 3 through 9; in writing in grades 4 and 7; in English language arts in grades 10 and 11; in mathematics in grades 3 through 11; in science in grades 5, 8, 10 and 11; and in social studies in grades 8, 10 and 11. TAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Texas. The grade 11 Exit Level TAKS is a high school graduation requirement. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
