The teachers are rude because the kids and parents are power mongers. What is it with the LV parents? Don't you trust your teachers to do right by your kids? Are you all so narrow minded that it has never occured to you that your kids lie to you sometimes?

The La Vernia schools are only OK - check the rating. The worst thing is the 'click' atmosphere that runs from parents all the way through the teachers & administration. Combined with racial bigotry and kickback payolla system for finances, there's definately an unhealthy environment in LV.

What an awesome school. My son was at Alamo Heights for years and I had to beg and spend thousands of my own dollars to get my son extra help. In La Vernia, I was approached by the school and they helped him. He has always struggled and now he is on level. It is completely because the administrators/teachers

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
