We moved to the Katy area in Jan. 09'. Our son was assigned to Memorial Parkway Jr High. So far, our experience has been great. The staff has been very accommodating and supporting of our son's difficulty transitioning to a new place. The teachers are excellent and offer additional tutoring before and

Security protocols are 'strictly' enforced to provide a safe environment. There are full-time and part-time (i think) security guards on the premises. Furthermore, security cameras have been installed throughout the campus. You can feel reasonable assured your child is safe at MPJH! I hope this helps! Read less
The people who say all the teachers care about is clothes are totally wrong. Of course they care about clothes, but sometimes you will see kids walking around with things on that teachers would usually yell at them for, yet they don't. Also, some of the older teachers really do care, but most don't.

If you were in the school, witnessing what is happening in every group of friends, every clique, every relationship, you would see why this school lacks what it does. At school, fights occur constantly (if not fist fights, very heavy verbal fights), things get destroyed or stolen, and hate and jealousy is thrown everywhere. For the parents who think the fine arts programs are 'fare' here are some words from a former student. I was in Mr. Leger's choir program and all I have to say is this man is the reason I went to school. He is a man who will stand by your child threw thick and thin and have there back the entire time.

MPJH would be nothing without his program and if I still lived in Katy I would see to it that my daughter was taught by him because being in Mr. Leger's class is an experience that makes children into strong confident individuals. For those of you who rated the fine arts program 'fare' you must be mistaken. This program is the one redeeming factor of MPJH and that is no exaggeration. Read less

I think that the teachers and principals are too concerned about the student's clothes. Instead of concentrating on how short their skirt is, they should concentrate on how much they are learning. They should also make sure that the teachers aren't being unfair with the children and that they don't give
