Its like a normal middle school,they have structure,patients,motivation,engaging activities everything a child needs in a school,only there are less children (15 maximum per classroom to be exact)and the teachers are the most wonderful motivation systems by far.I could not ask for any better.

We were Very happy when we found out about Calvin Nelms NW. Our daughter has excelled in her classes, and loves going to school everyday. We can't say Thank You enough to the teachers and staff of CNCS NW. It is true that the school has a family atmosphere, it makes it easier to talk with the staff.

... Read more currently a student at Sam Houston State University working towards a Criminal Justice Degree. My overall GPA is now a 3.4. The lessons I've learned from the teachers there aren't just educational ones but ones to tackle life's problems. Calvin Nelms was one of the most rewarding and gratifying experiences I've had in my lifetime. Calvin Nelms is an awesome school! My son came out of 'normal' public school in the Cy-Fair school district. He is an honors student and always has been. He has never been in any trouble of any kind. We chose this Charter School because of the low student/teacher ratio and the opportunity for my
... Read more son to work at as fast of a pace as he wanted. It has been a great experience! They do not tolerate bullying or any unacceptable behavior like that. Their goal is to provide a safe, quality environment that allows for learning at whatever level your student is at - including those like my son who are excellent students. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
