This school is one of two in Texas that offers the International Baccalaureate program. I earned 24 hours of college credit in highschool! Our marching band, drill team, and gymnastics teams all compete on a national and state level, and we often take 1st place. This was a great school to go to, and

... Read more year for teachers so they get the cream of the crop. In fact, I challenge you to find a district in the area that pays more. There is a variety of extracurricular activities -- band & gymnastics, in particular, are state finalists year after year. The whole athletic program is competitive and has state of the art training facilities. The student population is more diverse than when I attended, so it's capable of producing a more well-rounded student than ever before. Solid school & I'm proud to be a Blue Raider. Read less

My daughter goes to this school. It is absolutely wonderful. The students are all diverse and very helpful. The academic programs, IB/AP, are wonderful for students who plan on taking there education far. They have an excellent band...#1 in the state. They have a fine theatre arts program..great sports,

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.

A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
