Ever since the opening of Atascocita HS a few years ago, it appears as though Humble High is now the inferior school. I would like to say that is not so. I know for a fact that Humble High School is still well respected by many and has produced great members of our society. Has it had its share of problems?

But I believe that with the major renovation of the school, and Principal Charles Ned now in charge, HHS is coming back! The athletics at the school have always been superb, and there are still great, passionate, intelligent teachers and administrators guiding the students there. A great school with diversity and active student participation. It was not until I moved to the DC area that I saw what my children (When I have them) will be missing by not attending schools like Humble. I still remember most of my teachers, which is a miracle, because I hardly remember my college professors.

The classes of 2007-09 will have very little developed sports programs due to the division of the students. However the opening of a new HS is necessary, I feel for the students of 2007-09 will be deprived of the full HS experience. Parents are somewhat involved. Read less
