It is because of that staff, most of whom have been there for many years, that I learned that my youngest child had serious developmental delays. With their guidance, I sought help, and she is now a thriving 11 year old. I couldn't be more than pleased with my experience at this school. I chose to put my daughter into First Grade at the Woods as I had heard that they were very strong on the reading. ... Read more diagnosed an eye problem which regular school tests do not find which was impeding her reading. This made a huge difference! The teachers are great at introducing concepts and building students self esteem. They are warm and kind and the children pick up on that. Given they are catering to elementary level students, my only 'gripe' would be that they should have designated homework time for these students in the after school program. I find mine too tired (since she has to attend the extended care through 5.30) to do homework at night. Read less

Fabulous school. The teachers are great and the rest of the staff are wonderful as well. Between the both of my children we have attended a total of 10 years at the woods and loved every minute of it. The reading program they have at the school is exceptional and to really get the full benefit of it

... Read more of its nuturing, caring atmosphere. Most of the staff is well-educated and I always found them on top of things. I was around the school a lot and have been back recently. You can walk in at any time and see a well-run, yet enjoyable atmosphere for a strong early childhood education. I have recommended The Woods to several friends who have all sent their children there and been very happy with their decision. As a long-time member of this community, I have never heard a negative word about The Woods Private School. It is a great school. Read less
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
