Stay away from this charter school! My child did not learn anything. Teachers change every year. My child had 5 teachers quit all in the same year. The 'Headmistress' is rude and so is the Principal. This school is horrible. My children were bored going to this school. The computers were always broken in their classrooms. Whenever it rained, the roof leaked. My child slipped and fell on the floor. The school does not have a nurse to attend to children at all on campus.

The Medical Center Charter School has a very advanced curriculum for their students starting in Pre-K to the 6th grade. My child is in the Pre-K program and he is learning to write and read. The Pre-K program includes the Montessori apprach as well as following the guidelines for the state of Texas.
... Read more He also is learning to speak Spanish even better and he loves the French class. The school day is longer than most schools and I thought that my son would have a problem with the long day. Instead he is very excited about going to school everyday. MCCS allow the Pre-K students to take naps during the day. The teachers, the assistants, and the principal all work together to make a very positive and a great learning experience for all students. I am very comfortable with the Medical Center Charter School/Soutwest. I would like to see the students do more science activities. My daughter's teacher was outstanding. For what I could see the students were always being challenged. She has homework everyday and is always intrigued to learn more. I think that extra cirricular activities would be a plus with all that the students learn it wouldn't hurt for them to have an activity

My youngest was having extreme difficulties adjusting and the teachers as well as the principal were very understanding

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
