19 Parent Reviews for John Paul Ii Catholic School
This school is NOT for boys. The teachers and administration shame normal active & spirited boys unnecessarily. There is very little social interaction encouraged between boys and girls in middle school. No advanced classes to get ready for preAP or AP high school classwork. There is too much group

This is just an amazing school! I am so happy to give my kids the opportunity to get a high quality education in a safe and nurturing environment where values are foremost important! The teachers and staff are... how you would say.... quite..."pedestrian." Multiculturalism is foreign within the curriculum. This school is great for white socially conservative families that want to send their children to texas A&M. Very average.

Certainly one of the most affordable private schools in Houston, however the academics are woefully average. Extemely week in math and does NOT offer any advanced or pre-AP coursework. Academics seem out of date; definitely no out of the box thinkers here. On the plus side the extracurricular activities

This is evident throughout the school - excellent, well mannered young ladies and gentlemen. We feel that our children will be well prepared for middle and high school by attending JPII. Read less

My child attended this school for 9 weeks. The child was 4 at the. It was a horrible experience! I received phone calls telling me, although my child had "normal" 4 year old behavior, it was just "too much" for them. First it was a short visit to the office, then a long visit to the office, then

The teacher and assistant principal kept telling me that my child was not the only one receiving this treatment and that it was a "challenging" class/year. I offered to come help (whenever they knew the teacher would be at a meeting, which occurred at least once a week) when I found they had lost another 4 year old when out on the playground because the teacher was in a meeting and the teaching assistant had to watch 18 children by herself. The principal told me that "it has always worked this way in the past" and that they did not need my help. Needless to say, we pulled our child out of that school! Read less
