Clark Primary school is AWESOME! Their extra curricular programs are absolutely amazing. The P.E. coaches do an incredible job with the volume of K-2nd grade students that fill their gym! The music teacher is amazing and the children learn about music from all around the world. They have three music
... Read more programs- kinder, first, second grade (christmas program). The art program is above average and studen art is displayed in the lobby. They have book fairs and field trips to the zoo. Ralph Masiello, a famous illustrator visited the school and taught the students about art. The students at Clark Primary are a diverse group and although there are some discipline issues, they do their best when they need to. Read less

Clark Primary has an excellent and well trained staff! I love the routines they set in place and I really like the way they teach children how to be more responsible and how they need to behave around other children. Being a Pre-K-2 school they are faced with many different challenges that other schools

I love the 2nd grade program at this school! I love that I know what is expected of my child and I love the consistency of the routines with the weekly homework to the daily responsibility card! this card allows me to know on a daily basis what my child is doing each day.... I love it!

While the teachers are kind at this school, the children are not challenged academically. My daughter attended this school for two years and her interest in learning dropped dramatically. I made every effort to get her tested for advanced placement or classses. However, advanced classes are not available
... Read more at this school. All children are taught on the same level regardless of learning abilities, and the children do not get homework until 2nd grade. The school only services PK-2 grade. I feel she will not be as prepared for 3rd grade as she should be, considering she is an A student. I will have to place her in an educational center to catch her up academically. This school also has no extracurricular activities, such as plays, christmas programs, or graduations. Stay involved in your childs education, if you have to send your child to this school. Read less

Clark Primary needs to re-focus on education and less on discipline. The school only educates the children minimumally. The children learn what is required but nothing more. This isn't a good school for chidren who have already experienced early education. The children are not being challenged. This
... Read more school also has a disciplinary system called a 'Responsibility Card.' This isn't a good system. The children are responsible for carrying this card around throughout the day. Any teacher can mark comments on the card and your child may be subject to disciplinary action for these markings, but because so many people have the right to mark this card, you don't know who to contact should you want to discuss the comments. Clark Primary gets a failing score. First graders don't have spelling test or regular homework assignments. Extracurricular activities are scarce and the school is surrounded by low-income housing (apartments)and gang activity. Read less

At a time when most parents are looking for a school without a 'reubber stamp' attitude; This school stands out with its 'all kids go forward' approach. The Principal has control and is firmly in the driver's seat, she knows all of the happenings in this school, and no child is left without attention.

The academic programs here are low. Other than are and music class, there is no other extracurricular acitivty. Parent involvement is very low at this school. The teachers and the parents do not communicate very well.

Advanced Placement
