My son is doing great at this school, he started Kindergarten at South Bosque and we had nothing but problems, then coming to Hewitt he was behind on his reading. He has an experienced teacher, loves going to school, has caught up on his reading and is doing much better academically.

Hewitt Elementary is an awesome school. Does very well on TAKS scores each year. We have wonderful teachers. Our principal and assistant principal are wonderful. Our PTA is fairly large. I love this school. My 4 children have done very well here. I am very involved in PTA at Hewitt and it is awesome!

We moved here from overseas and I thought the DoDDS schools were tough...We were not prepared for TAKS! However, Hewitt Elementary is a very very good school. I am proud to say that our sons have learned so much in all their subjects this first year. The teachers are quite friendly and seem to care

When our oldest son was struggling with his math, his teacher kept us well infomed of his progress and even provided us helpful hints to continue his studies at home during school breaks. I also like the fact that we can communicate with the teachers via email. The PTA is active and always asking for family involvement. The school keeps parents informed of all activities. This is a first class public school I am proud my children attend. Consider yourself fortunate to have your child as a student here. Read less

Hewitt Elementary school is great! From the principal (Mrs. S. Holland) to my sons teachers (Mrs. Tang & Mrs. Cassell) teachers in my book they are #1. In this day and age, it is hard to find a school like this that really cares for our childrens education and this one does care. MISD is one of the best

Advanced Placement
