Just last school year parents voulenteered 3000 hours of their time; in helping the students reading groups, school activites, class room / teacher help and field trips. The Mt. My son attended PPCD here for a short time before moving districts. Had a wonderful experience. The teacher was very good at handling him and his needs and the other classmates. I felt very involved and they had very good communication. They put all my concerns about my child at ease when needed.

I have been at Mt. View for the last 3 years. The key to any school is getting the right teacher student fit. As a parent I had meetings with the teacher and counselor before the end of the school year to determine where was the best place for my children. As for the admin, the few times I had any

School is starting in a few weeks and I am very concerned about this school. The teachers here are terrific, and they really care about their students. However, the administration does not show the same interest in the children as the teachers do. Safety here is not the greatest, bullying by students

I must admit I am very disappointed in this school. When we were stationed here four years ago, the principal was approachable, and had a genuine care and concern for the school. That is not evident under the new regime. When you walk through the doors, no longer is there a friendly feeling.....I

My two students attended MV for the last 3 yrs. One is a current TAG student who started out below grade level in a regular class. ... Read more youngest who began school at MV has not had such a wonderful experience. Unfortunately he had a teacher that did not teach at all and was almost held back a grade, having to attend summer school after the first grade. Luckily since then he has had better teachers and continues to improve, now making all A's and B's. All the staff recognizes me and seem to know my children well. Admin fills their role as do teachers. Excellent extracurriculars! The drop off/pick up system is a pain, but it's a great school overall. Read less

... Read more and she has made many good friends. Her specials classes are exceptional. Mrs. F. has given my daughter a wonderful year of music. I love to hear her sing the sweet songs that she learns in that class. PE classes are a favorite, and she's even learned to dance like 'Dancing With The Stars!' Mrs. H. coaches a step team after school that seems like a lot of fun. I also can't say enough about the aides in this school. I always hear about how they work with the kids and take care of them during recess. Mega-kudos to Mountain View! Read less

Mt. View is a wonderful school. This is our first year here and I couldn't be more impressed. They have embraced my children and I am amazed every day at what they are learning. They are especially tuned in to the need of the military community since there are so many students here with a military parent.

Advanced Placement
