After a move from out of state, my husband and I found ourselves scrambling to find a school for our son who started K this year. I used this website and found the parent reviews helpful. So I am writing my own for Luna which we were happy to find out was rated Exemplary before the start of the year.
... Read more Luna has been a great school so far. Our son loves his K teacher, Ms. Brown, and everyone there has been friendly and helpful. The principal, Mr. Howard, is very approachable and great with the kids. I am also very happy with the curriculum. Our son's reading abilities have already improved in such a short time since he started at Luna. He's excited to go to school every day which is a testament to what a great job the Luna staff is doing. Read less

Luna is a great school! My experience with the staff and teachers has been wonderful. My son attends a LIFE 2 course with Mrs. Padden and Mrs. Regalado. They are two wonderful people who share a passion in educating children with disabilities. My son has grown so much at Luna with their help it shows
... Read more in his progress they place every effort to teach my child. They are doing an exceptional job. In addition, Luna has a wonderful speech pathologist that is doing a magnificent job working with my son. Mrs. Anne Redeman has exceptional talent in her field its incredible. This year working with Mrs. Redeman, his speech has improved significantly. When he speaks, he tries to mouth and sound the words he is using. I find my son at times stopping at mid sentence to correct his own speech and that is a miracle! *** Ana Flores Read less

My daughter has loved her Kindergarten experience at Luna. The teachers are kind and are able to teach a strong curriculum without making it too stressful. There are fun activities scattered throughout the year. I loved the Polar Express day when they got to take robes and slippers to wear!

I have had nothing but positive experiences with this school and that is why I chosen to keep my daughter here rather than move her to a more 'relaxed' school environment. My daughter appreciates structure and is geared to excel. I believe that is the attitude at this school as well. I am happy that
... Read more her extra-curricular activities are something I participate in with her, not ones dictated by the school. She loves her teachers, her principal and her friends. Perhaps it is a little more of a structured environment than some parents like, but it does keep her focused and she loves the recognition when she does well. I have always had fun with the office staff and they are always considerate. I don't think having to sign in and wear a badge is restrictive. The only thing I would like more of is art classes. I think the school is great. I have my second child going thru this school and I have nothing but praises for them. Their level of professionalism and commitment has been unsurpassed by any other school I have had dealings with. I will agree their extra-curricular activities are a little lacking, but
... Read more they are supportive of the neighborhoods' activities. As far as being restrictive with parent volunteers, if that insures my childs safety, then so be it. I would rather see extensive and complete background checks on the volunteers than to have someone with questionable marks running loose in the school. Last but not least the Office Staff has always been courteous and friendly. Warren Dent Read less
I would have to disagree with Mrs. Stewart s opinion. This is a top notch school that prides itself in putting your child s education first. That is what a good principal/leader does. The staff is wonderful and all the teachers are highly qualified. I really feel the teachers are sensitive and caring.
