We have the best teachers in my opinion, many of our teachers retired from their jobs after 10-30 years of working and have decided to give us their knowledge. I have a daughter who has attended Lakeview for the last 3 years. I have not had any problems here I like a lot of the programs they have at the school. As long as you are an involved parent your child should get the most out of what Lakeview has to offer.

... Read more school year every email was responded to; in a very timely manner. I am not trying to sell anything; it's just a fact. I was told on many occasions by the teachers that they welcome my emails and would love to have more parents interact with them. When I have had to contact Ms. Shaw in the attendance office she is professional and helpful. Read less

I have two children that attend Lakeview and went to school there myself. I think the school needs allot of work. They have their favorite students (such as those in the magnet programs) and if you do not fit into that category then good luck.

I read an earlier comment about the attendance office employees and I have to disagree. Mrs. Shaw is wonderful! She has always taken the time to help me when I have received letters with mistakes about absences or even when I need to check up on my kids! She is the Best!! I would also like to comment
... Read more about the whole dress code issue....enough already! Is it that important for the shirts to be tucked in and the faces to be shaved? Lets use this energy on helping the kids academically. I've watched the principals stand in the halls looking for kids 'out of dress code'. Yet certain kids were free to walk on by. My son is a junior and is an athlete.He doesn't get special treatment as previous reviews have said. As a matter of fact the coaches are not helping at all about college.They do cater to their favorites but that doesn't apply to all in athletics.The teachers are not that great either.They do not respond

I agree that Admin plays favorites with people in athletics, Cheer and Drill Team, especially students with positions. Seems like things are swept under the rug when it comes to the favorites. This is my daughter's second year here and I will be moving her to another school ASAP. Do not walk, run when it comes to this school. The admin protects abusive students if they play sports and leave the abused to feel threatened with no help.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
