This school is great as far as the energetic spirit and the Principle is the best. The kids are a different story. There are more bullies in this school and the teachers don't seem to do anything about it. The parents of these bullies should be ashamed of themselves not teaching their children morals

My daughter has attended Smith for the last 5 years and overall it's a wonderful school. The teachers are great and attentive to every child's needs. The academics is top notch and the children are highly challenged in all subjects. The principal is the best - hands down!

We spent 4 wonderful years at Smith. My oldest child spent K-3 there before we moved. We are heartbroken. I went to our next school in Lewisville ISD with expectations that just could not be reached. ... Read more public schools the TAKS test is important at Smith it did not seem to be the focus the entire year. The teachers and administrators at Smith educated my children they did not just teach the kids how to take the TAKS. Julie Hill is one of the best teachers I have ever encountered. If your child gets her they will have an enthusiasm for learning that is absolutely amazing. She loves each and every child from the easiest to the most challenging. I have two children that attend Smith and I believe they have outstanding teachers. I have one child that was needing speech therapy and he was barely understandable in kindergarten and now you would never know he even had speech issues. My thanks to Susan Senn for this as well as his kindergarten
... Read more teacher Lisa Lindsey who got him the early intervention he needed. Also, my thanks to Julie Hill who is by far one of the most oustanding teachers I have ever met. Her energy and enthusiasm and love for teaching just amazes me. I have never had any concerns except at one point there was an assistant principal that was very unnaproachable and in my opinion needing to be in a middle school environment. She has since retired and they now have a phenomominal new assistant principal in Mrs. Rapp. Read less

My daughter spent her first year at Smith in 2005. We had a wonderful year with the teachers and assistant principal. They were both very helpful and vigilant in addressing any concerns and providing praise. It made for a wonderful experience and my daughter is looking forward to the new year.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
