Because the school is not huge, there are many opportunities to partcipate in more than sport or activity. Children don't get lost in the crowd either.

The quality of the academic programs are fantastic. Music, art, sports, and other extracurricular activities are readily available to all students. Parents at this school are very involved in their childs schooling and supportive to their learning needs.

I have 4 children in the Franklin Schools and I agree with the last name issue. It does not matter how much money you have, it matters if you are at least a 2nd generation Franklinite. I like the school for the most part due to the fact that they still say the pledge and pray before lunch in the Elementary.

The place needs to remember why there are schools, and it is not a place for them to act like big shots in such a small area where what they think is nothing to the rest of the world. Like most small towns everywhere, there are a certain few whose children receive preferential treatment due to longevity in the community or status within the community. Franklin is no different in that respect. There is also an entrenched teaching/administration that works on tenure and 'towing the

As a rural school district that coops with other school districts for special education services, the quality and availability for such services is lacking on many levels. I am a retired school teacher who loves teaching and subbing, but I will never sub again at Franklin High School. All the classes we're large, and somewhat loud and unruly. Especially her 5th period class. There was 32 students in the period, they we're awful. The previous review may be true, but

Franklin High School has an extremely high percentage of graduates move on to higher education. In regards to the 'last name' remarks made by a previous critic, simply not true. I imagine it doesn't matter where or what they do, they always are being treated unfairly.

This is your typical public high school, last names and money are everything. If you were born, rasied, and graduated from FHS, your students have it made in the shade. I've gone to FHS now for 5 years, and would say that it has promoted better teaching skills and techniques by making it fun to learn. Overall I would say that FHS is a great school.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Before/After School

A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
