This school has it down. My children (2 of 3) both read by the time they were in the second nine weeks of Kindergarten. They have systems in place that work. The teachers are all happy to be there, as there is much parental involvement, and they are all well-qualified for the job. We like the diversity

This school is wonderful! The principal is excellent and the teachers are excellent. There is a HUGE amount of parental involvement and the PTA puts on a wide variety of activities. Highly recommend this school to everyone!

Park Glen is such an excellent school. My 3rd grader has attended PGE since Kindergarten and he has absolutely flourished. In fact, the entire 3rd grade class for the 2003-2004 school year has done awesome. Not one child, out of 7 3rd grade classrooms, failed the TAKS tests that were given in April.
... Read more That is quite an extraordinary accomplishment. The teachers and staff at Park Glen happily welcome any parent who wants to be involved in the school. Parent involvement is key to Park Glen's success. Our principal, Carol Wicker, is such an asset to the school. She is involved in everything and is very visible, from helping students out of their cars for morning drop-offs to taking a pie in the face for a PTA activity. I absolutely love this school and will be sad when my son has to leave at the end of the next school year. Read less

Excellent school with caring teachers. Both of my children have received a 'private' school education at a public school. This school goes far above the state-mandated minimum educational requirements. Parents are encouraged to participate in school-life on a daily basis. Safe suburban neighborhood

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
