Since what I would really like to say about the school does not fit the guidelines of this site, I'll say that there is not a high enough emphasis on education for the students. Forget about earning 'blue ribbon' campus awards and start teaching. My oldest made mostly A's and a few B's in 9th, but
... Read more was not prepared for high school. Her grades dropped fast in 10th grade, but she caught back up in 11th with the better learning environment at the high school. This school is better then the high school, the only thing I did not like was; parents are not allowed to rome the hall to there childs class to observe the child and the teacher without them knowing. I remember back in the day all mom or dad had to do was sign in and be on your way to the class.

Read more performance from one of his teachers. the next week she called again and recommended he be moved up to pre-ap. what a change compared to his school in ca. where the only contact any parent ever received was to relay negative information. another positive thing was their 'meet the teacher' nite. in the 3 yrs my son attended his previous school, they never had any kind of parental involvement like that. we also have a 2nd grader at hargrave elementary. overall, we're extremely pleased with our decision to enroll our kids in crowely isd. This school has been a positive change for my son. The teachers have worked closely with me, as a parent, to make sure my son is getting the quality of education and the moral support he needs. I have had massive trouble getting reponses to my communications whether its via telephone or email. There seems to be no time restraint regarding response turnaround time. My child has never done so poorly in school. He has gone from an A/B student to a below 75 in 4 subjects. I am in constant communication

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
