FWAFA is an excellent school which is known for their performance groups, although not enough is said about their quality academics. As a parent of two boys in TESA (3rd and 4th grade), this is the end of our second year and it has been great! I have one child who had behavior problems in public school because as a gift child he was not challenged enough in the class room. The teachers have let him work on individual projects to
... Read more push his abilities with great success. My other child was diagnosed with dyslexia with the help of the teachers. The school has provided individual help for him a couple of days a week and now he can participate with his classmates during normal activities. Public schools would have written my kids off as discipline problems, not these teachers. Both have thrived in the fine arts program which they both were hesitant about in their first week. My child has excelled both academically and in the fine arts this year. She has enjoyed her teachers both academic and fine arts. The space may be small but the teachers become very creative in how to make it work. I would recommend TESA to anyone who has a child that is interested in the arts.

I am not sure about the high school level, but I have not been impressed at all with the elementary academics. Not that so much the teachers are always to blame, but they are trying to cram so much into one day, the kids barely have time to stick to one concept before jumping to another. It is stressful.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
