I worked as a math and science tutor at this high school when it first opened, it had it's first freshman class only at that time. I've seen the school grow, and hopefully in the right direction. They surely introduce them to college concepts as well as hands on experience with their dual credit classes and labs, UTEP field trip, Seminars that presents them with real word situations, Science Summer Camps where generously I remember a PhD to Student ratio of 3:20 along with tutors and tons of science fun. It was an honor to work here for the short time I did, and recommended this school to anyone, and encourage the "kiddos" to stick it through. Read less

Excellent High School. I been a substitute before at this school and evreything is perfect,they listen, respect and their grades are higher than ever! THeres alot of activities and the teachers are the best, All the campus is great!

* In 2010-2011, the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was used to test students in reading in grades 3 through 9; in writing in grades 4 and 7; in English language arts in grades 10 and 11; in mathematics in grades 3 through 11; in science in grades 5, 8, 10 and 11; and in social studies in grades 8, 10 and 11. TAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Texas. The grade 11 Exit Level TAKS is a high school graduation requirement. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
