Honestly, I did not find Loretto Academy to be worth the money I spent. My child went to the high school and I found that the education is not up to par with some of the surrounding public schools. Loretto may have had a 'tradition of Excellence' in the past but today for some reason that is not the

I also found that because private schools are allowed to be more strict, some of the teachers took advantage of that and were emotionally abusive to the students. They seem to be so obsessed with rules that the students individuality is nonexistent and discouraged rather than embraced. I was not satisfied with Loretto Academy. Read less

I had a daughter at loretto through 2nd grade, she loved the nurturing environment and they had a lot of field trips. The school provides a great education for the local environment, but the level of the teachers is variable. Accordingly, the school is far from being competitive on a regional or national basis. Overall, the high school is not interested in the parents' involvement and is extremely slow to to react

This makes local public high school even more appealing. In conclusion, the school has lost ots edge and the negatives are slowly becoming too much to bear. With IB programs available at schools such as Coronado, and based on education solely, it would be hard to recommend Loretto to anyone.
