I was a high school student at this school for 2 years. In my experience at this school I have seen, heard, and been through things I wish I hadn't. The school had no air conditioning except in the room that use to be used for keeping food cold(the freezer). The teachers were very lazy, unorganized,
... Read more and most of them had the wrong degree for what they were teaching. I became very close to some of the teachers but have to admitthey were out of there area. The celling leaked, had wholes and were constantly falling. I dont know if the conditions were the same in the elementary school but im sure were not that much differet. my boyfriend has been trying to get his transcripts from the school for almost a year now. We have even sent people up there and their exuse was there computers crashed. Read less

My son has been attending this school for 3 years. While it is obvious that this school is severely underfunded i feel it is still a good school and it would be even better if the parents would participate in making much needed improvements. What makes this a good school are the loyal and caring

it's funny that most negative reviews come from those with 2 years of experience or less at this school. Could it be that they are using this school as a means of day care due to the fact that they accept kids at age three and the classes are from 8-3. The pre-k at public schools are only 1/2 days
... Read more begining at age 4. Once their kids are able to enter public school (on a full-time basis) they bad mouth the school and then bolt. I admit the school lacks appropriate state funding to compete with the public schools, but to bad mouth this school with the quality of teachers i've seen over the past 3 years is distasteful. This is my second year. Last year, there were lots of issues with the air conditioning. After the second week, parents finally forced Mr. Lewis to purchase individual units for the first floor classrooms. My kids have been going to this school for about 2 years. The oldest one is 12 years old, and he will not be going to the school anymore due to the lack of extracurricular activities. Second the youngest one is 7 years old, and he will not be returning due to safety and any parent will tell you the same.

My sister had all four of her kids attending this school. She saw a lot of improvement in reading and math. There is more one to one with the students and it helped them become more open. She was more involve with their education than ever before.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
