I currently have two kids attending Del Valle high school, One is a sophmore and the other is a freshmen, both are active in school sports, football, baseball for my son and volleyball, softball for my daughter. Both are A&B honor roll students and love being at Del Valle. I had a older son who graduated
... Read more from Del Valle in 2007. This is a school with 2079 students for 2008-2009 year. I will say Del Valle has improved a whole lot within the last 4 years. I have meet some teachers and not all are bad....there are teachers that nake a difference and there are some that job work for whats its worth. DV is making progess in the right direction. Read less

I am a student at this school. The only thing that I do agree with is that there are teachers that treat students poorly, but most of my teachers respect me and try to help me as best they can. We need more students to participate in Extra Curricular activities. Our administration is very focused on

Many teachers here are passionate about teaching, but there are still others who significantly impair some students' ability to learn. They fail to recognize differing means of learning between students.

My son is a junior this year and we have always been in the school district. I am very involved but I have to fight to be. It is not condusive to parent involvement. There are a few gems for teachers but they are not given support by the administration. Classes are taught to the teks test which limits

My daughter has been a part of the Del Valle School District since 4th Grade and is now in High School. She struggles in school but my experience is the teachers and principles bend over backwards to help. The classes are over crowded. I think they are doing the best they can with the funds they have.

This school does not care about the students as much as they care about covering each other. Some not all teachers speak to and treat these kids in awful ways. They should and will be accountable for this. They don't know what 'not one student left behind' even means. Will not go out of their way at

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Before/After School
