Truett is like any other school in Dallas ISD...not given enough money for a budget and for keep up, but the Staff and administration tries very hard to prepare the students who attend Truett for the real world. We have a great staff and a good administration. Truett is over populated but like many
... Read more other schools in Dallas ISD, Truett is overlooked by the school board. For the last bond issue that was passed, Truett only got a new A/C Unit for the building. We should have received a whole new wing to the school since we have 35 portables outside of the building. All in all, I love teaching at Truett, I just wish that the DISD school board would open there eyes and see that Truett is a great school, but needs some money and resources to let the school grow! The teachers are great at Truett. However, there are too many students for the size of the building. Overall, the school is orderly, quiet, and well-managed. The major problems with Truett are 1) a controlling, insincere assistant principal 2) filthy restrooms and cafeteria 3) unkempt landscaping
