I am proud to have my children at Kramer Elementary School. They have had excellent teachers each year. The teachers go the extra mile for all children. I am amazed at how they are able to assist students who have unique needs while they offer challenging opportunities for the high achieving students.

... Read more with a comprehensive 'wish list' of items. The students are challenged to be smart and learn, while having fun. Kramer is a unique public school serving a diverse background. It is 'cool' to be smart at Kramer which is proven by the high awards received at District and Regional academic, math and chess competitions. Kramer is also one of the few elementary schools which fields soccer and basketball teams for both boys and girls beginning in kindergarten. Read less

I have two daughters attending Kramer and they are excited and happy about going to school every day. They make good grades because Kramer's teachers have an amazing ability to challenge those students who demonstrate increased potential, while simultaneously encouraging and meeting the needs of students

Our principal, Melanie Potts, understands the importance of providing after school programs (Spanish, chess, karate, math club, student newspaper, etc.) and focused 'specials' classes (art, PE, computers, science, music)which complement the classroom curriculum and enhance daily learning. Interested students also have the ability to participate in choir, orchestra, piano, or TAG programs as part of their weekly schedule. Kramer parents understand that our children will have a better, more productive educational experience when we make time to assist teachers, organize schoolwide events, and help create a safe and happy environment for students. Hello, my kids just started here at Kramer and the only thing that I do not like that the classes are mixed with different grades. I personally think that 2nd graders need to be with 2nd graders and 1st graders need to 1st graders because they are all on different levels, so how are the teachers able
... Read more to focus on this one grade and then step over into the next grade group. I that is neglect and I know it is because my child already knows how to add and subject so and she is in 2nd grade so why is my 1st grader bringing home the same work as she is in 2nd grade? I think that parent involvement is not an option for parents of the children that are attending this school but mandatory. The principal was bias. I was up at the school on a consistent basis and immediately I noticed poor performance to staff.

This is our neighborhood school. We live in the Janmar area of Dallas. This is a solid elementary which prepares the students for both public and/or private middle school. The teachers are good, but young and need more experience. With time and if left in place, they will some day be wonderful.

Advanced Placement
