Lamkin has been around a long time. It still runs with respect leadership morales and dignity. Mrs. Parker is a wonderful principal. Ima blessed to have my Grandson go there. This will be his last year. Thank you Lamkin for making my Grandson a A and B Student. Love to all of you at Lamkin.

... Read more the Leopards family. He told me Lamkin Rocks. The teachers are wonderful at providing quality academic curriculum and programs. The principal is a wonderful lady with always a friendly smile. Teachers and staff are very caring they go above and beyond to help the students and parents. Mrs Molnoskey and Mrs Montano are excellent teachers they are the best. But so are all the other teachers. This was our last year , but it is a truly wonderful school for your kids. Read less

I understand the frustration in moving classrooms but trust me, Lamkin is doing it for the sake of the children. Open concept is hard for some kids and when you get more than 20 kids in a class, it makes it even worse. Lamkin took care of this situation by hiring more teachers to make the classrooms

I think you have to be VERY involved with your child's education as well as being up front and open about your frustrations with the administration in order to feel like something is being accomplished. Speak your mind. Nobody knows if no one ever says anything. My child is in his 3rd year at Lamkin and he loves it. I will continue to support him as well as his teachers and all the teachers. My daughter is in the 4th grade at Lamkin. She has changed homeroom twice in one school year because of over-crowding. Needless to say she will not be attending Lamkin again next year. Yes there are a few good teachers so you better pray your child receive one of those teachers, if not you are set

We transferred from another Texas county, and my child is 9 months ahead in studies over the students in his class. The teachers have no idea what they are teaching in regards to mathematics, spelling, and reading. There is no AR program to encourage children to keep reading. Based on schools nearby,
... Read more why is this school's scores so low? Several children in my child's class are being tutored because they cannot understand the teachings. If other district schools are also open-concept, then what methods have the other schools employed to ensure that the students are gaining and retaining, and why can't Lamkin do the same? The teachers are Only teaching them to pass the TAKS tests, but not teaching them the curriculum to aid them in future classes. My child attended Lamkin for 2 years. We felt the teachers were very overwhelmed by the open concept of this school. There was no personal space for the students or the teachers. The overall feel of the school was unfriendly. Lunches were oftentimes made silent because a few kids talked a little to

Advanced Placement
