I attended Goodson Middle School until this past year when I moved to Austin. This has got to be the best middle school I have ever attended. It is a public school but the curriculum there is the best. They have classes for every level whether you are average or you need to be in GT. (gifted and talented)

Goodson is the best middel school ever! My kids have been attending since it opened. I have never been disatisfied with the teacher/parent communication. They have very fun activities for the students and no one is ever left out.

We have recently moved into another nearby school district. I miss Goodson. The teachers all seemed to have great communication with parents. I was never in the dark about anything going on. The atmosphere itself was great for my kids --- especially compared to where we are now.

Goodson Middle School is one of the finest educational facilities in the state of Texas. I am proud of all this school has accomplished under the leadership of Principal HAmilton! It is my hope that this school will continue to grow educationaly and by the numbers!

Goodson is a well rounded establishment. The faculty takes a tremendous amount of time contacting parents to inform them of their child's development and academic participation. Children within the school appear to be happy and enjoy their enviroment. Many extracuricular programs are offered and participation

I'll be a 7th grader at Goodson this year. Let me give you my professinial opinion... Goodson is new, therefore everything is not exactaly, let's say, 'Up to scratch'. The teachers are average, I mean, they teach. The extra activities are good, they keep me tired. But the parental involment and saftey
... Read more and disipline? That's another story. The parental involvement is akward because only about 50 parents 'involved'. The saftey is weird because when the principal is gone the P.E. coaches become the A.P.'s and the real A.P.'s and counselors act like the principal. Now onto principal leadership. Not many kids respect the principal, because she has a wierd saying that goes,'No matter where you go today, no matter what happens, remeber this: You are carrying presious cargo, so watch your step.' She says this every day! I even remembered this during the summer! But it can only get better. Hopefully. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
