If your child is gifted, send them to Allen. If your child is witty, smart, creative and above average, send them to Allen. If your child has the potential to attend the finest universities in the country, send them to Allen. The school is not about the administration, the students academic record

Allen is a great school with some serious issues. While the teachers and staff are fantastic, Allen lacks clear and stable leadership. ... Read more this time and there is a high number of international students in the Upper School who can aide in helping the younger students succeed in a foreign language. A new math curriculum is needed ASAP. My oldest is behind in math and has had to work very hard to catch up this year to the 5th grade level due to insufficiencies in the lower grades. ... Read more late. Although many schools offer a good education, only Allen has an EQ program implemented from PK - 12th grade. We even use it at home and it works! Technology is being implemented this year, the new facilities were just completed last year, the sports programs are developing under the tutelage of a new Athletic Director, everything is just getting better and better. Allen Academy is the finest school in the area. The level of curriculum is at least a year over local public schools. They are becoming more competitive in athletics and learning character and personal responsibility.It is a safe, family-like environment and I cannot imagine my children going anywhere

The teacher, due to smaller class size , take extra time and effort to get to know each child and improve on their weakness and use their strengths. They are in the process of building a new campus, that will be a fantastic facility. Students are required to follow a strict code of honor and are held accountable by their peers. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
