Cedar Creek is the smallest of the Eanes ISD elementaries, and the best (although all campuses are rated exemplary). Cedar Creek has a friendly, social vibe among parents; a diverse & welcoming group of kids; and above all -- a huge commitment to academic excellence. The teachers take their jobs very

Another thing I love is the full time art and music teachers who go above & beyond -- incl. school choir, public art shows, etc. We strongly considered sending our kids to St. Andrew's Episcopal (they were even accepted, etc) but opted to give Cedar Creek a try -- now years later, our 3rd child is still there and we have loved every minute. It's a wholesome, challenging fun environment. Read less

I do not feel that there is a whole lot of extracurricular activities after school that is sponsored by the school. Chess club is done during lunch along with other activities. I am highly impressed with the Cedar Creek staff, especially in the areas of special needs. There are plenty of extra-curricular activities for normally-developing and somewhat challenged students, and the students' attitudes toward each other (including special needs kids) is heartwarming. As the parents of a transfer student, we are extremely lucky to have our son in Eanes ISD and, especially, Cedar Creek. The faculty, staff, and facilities are fantastic. There is a true feeling of community at the school and the principal goes out of her way to know each child's name, grade, and parent(s).
