I am currently a student. The high school is academically unacceptable. Its all about the sports. The band program is wonderful and its a welcoming environment. The band placed 5th in the state. but everything else is centered around sports.

I am an alumnae of Atlanta High School and the main focus there is athletics. I was in band and was in the FFA there. Take Mr. Doug Saffel for example, he loves to teach history. He is a young and intelligent person who wants to get the students involved ...  Read more

My daughter attended Atlanta high school last year. It is a great school if your child is in football. Atlanta's primary focus is on athletics. They have a weak honors program and very little academic encouragement. Overall I found the educators unqualified to teach many of the core courses.
