My child was an A&B student and represented the school's Spelling Bee contest. It became apparent in my quest for an alternate school HPPA's fared poorly compared to other reputable private schools. ... Read more nearly none of these things they promised happened, i started to wonder where my money actually went. Besides that, we had had some problems with teachers and the students my child was in the classroom with. Yes, i will applaud High Point in their chapel and enrichment activities, but i am afraid my student will be behind when they enter the next grade. High Point Preparatory Academy in Arlington, TX is an excellent choice for any family that is seeking a quailty education for their child. Hppa is a great school for my child it has an excelent sports program led by excellent coaches. The vision fees, in my opinion are needed to help the school grow. its a wonderful school and my 14 year old son and I are very pleased.

High point is a truely wonderful school. I am so pleased with the education my children have received. Their education far surpasses ap classes offered at public school. We came from a very advanced shool in another state, but high point's standard for education is greater. I think anyone not pleased

I have been very disappointed with High Point this school year. There have been so many broken and unkept promise from the school leadership that my child doesnt want to return next year. ... Read more the tuition wasnt increasing for the upcoming school year, but the 'Vision Fee' was still being charged. I'm still waiting to see where the vision fee from last year benefited the lower school students. The students and parents were told the school would purchase a state of the art playground with their fundraising monies....well that was another disappointment. The education that my child received is great, but the church politics overflowing into the school got to be a little too much to handle. Read less

... Read more fee was to support the church. If you don't fully support the church in everything, then you will be ostisized and you and your child left out of the click. It takes a few years to see this and also being able to get close to the church / school leadership. They are all good people, with good hearts, but in over their heads for right now. The church and the school still have many more years of growing to do before they will ever live up to what they advertise. Read less

AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.
