I have nothing good to say about Alvarado. Elementary North. The Principal is not concerned about the needs of the student just about the staff. I have had five children and they have been in different schools and I think Alvarado is one of the worsted district I have ever been in.

I love this school! The teachers are excellent and we keep in touch by email on a weekly basis, so I can ask a question and get an answer within a few hours. My son is in the 3rd grade and last week we found that 98% of the 3rd graders passed the Taks test! As for previous parents complaining that all

Also, I have always been welcome on the campus, but due to safety precautions you must check in at the office first. And in this day and age, this is the only responsible way to run a school! I have had many bad experiences with this school. The leaders put in place here are more concerned about the employees rather than the children. If I have to be in Alvarado another year the superintendent is letting me change to another school since I have had numerous problems with this one.

I have nothing good to say about Alvarado Elementary North. It is a cold unwelcoming place. The leadership quality here is embarrassing! Parents are not welcome on campus. 3rd and 4th grade only focuses on Taks test, more important to them to get a good school rating rather that to actually teach the

My faith in public education is gone, thanks in part to AEN. I have removed both of my children, and will attempt to catch them up to grade level at home. The teacher turn over rate continues to be to high, and the parent participation continues to drop. When we started at AEN in 2001, it was a warm,

I have two kids attending AEN, one in 1st and the other in 4th grade. My kids say they are bored in school because all they are doing is trying to get the students to pass a state required test, leaving very little time for new learning. My 4th grader is a GT student and is not challenged what so ever.

As for extracurricular activities, I feel that their are none. I am very involved with my childs education at school and home. I do not feel my children are getting an adequate education. My 1st grader does not even receive a lettered report card. They give out an assessment report that is very difficult to read. Read less
