I think the children should be watched closer and not be allowed to get away with everything because the parents have some pull in the community.

I think this is a terrific school! I'm not very pleased with it being clean! But overall Mrs. Spalding has a wonderful school! I also like Mrs. Spalding she is very nice and keeps this school running. I love FCHS.( its even better than Huntland!)

I am a former student of FCHS and I wouldn't recommend that this school be considered as a first choice. In all honesty, there are some excellent teachers there; However, I found it lacking due to the majority that chose favoritism or social status over true academic performance and accomplishments ...  Read more

I attended a nearby high school growing up, now my son is a sophmore at franklin county high , winchester....so much difference ...even today, my old high school still the same...my son is learning so much and I am proud of him and the school.

Franklin County High school is a wonderful school. The teachers and administrators are amazing. I, myself attended the school three years and enjoyed every minute of it. Fchs has it's pros and cons, just like any high school in america. I have 3 kids attending. 2 Are heavily involved in band, which they love! All three could do great in school, if they tried. I think that the students and staff members in this school are laking a sort of respect for eachother and i would not recomend a child of a family that just moved into the area to start their child off here because of that although some of the teachers and students are great and my child loves it here ...  Read more

I went to Franklin County schools most of my live ( up until 2003 when I moved to Jacksonville, Alabama)! FCHS is very educational and the staff of the school is superior! My mother went to Franklin County High School in 1965 and I graduated in 2003. I enjoyed the three years I was there and will always take the values from FCHS throughout my college career, future job, and life. I respected the entire faculty and staff. * In 2007-2008 Tennessee used the Gateway/End-of-Course (EOC) exams to test high school students in language arts, math, science and social studies upon completion of relevant courses. The results for algebra I and English 2 are displayed on GreatSchool profiles. The scores reflect the performance of students enrolled for the full academic year. Students must pass the algebra I, English 2 and biology I tests, called the Gateway exams, in order to graduate. The Gateway/EOC exams are standards-based tests that measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined by the state of Tennessee. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.
