I graduated from Sequoyah High School and I am currently enrolled at the University of Tennessee. Sequoyah offers great Dual Enrollment courses that have helped me during my college career. The faculty and staff are friendly, goal-oriented people that helped make my high school experience even more enjoyable. ...  Read more

I am currently attending my second year here and can honestly say that this school is not going to help me get anywhere within 100 miles of this place. There is really nothing offered here either as far as extra ciriculars unless you've already been doing it through madisonvile middleschool....If you ...  Read more

If your child aspires to be manager of the local McDs when they grow up and top out, than its perfect. Otherwise expect to find your child was completely unprepared for even a 2 year college.

This School is where all 3 of my children graduated from. It is adequate but does not encourage kids to excel beyond the norm. All 3 of my children went off to college and have done or are doing well. I think Parent involvement is the key to a good education.

I currently attend Sequoyah High School, and I think it's a wonderful school. It may not be perfect or huge, but you can receive a lot of one on one time with teachers, which can be essential to your education. Teachers are very friendly and try hard to help you with anything you need, even things that ...  Read more

Being a student of high academic standing here requires minimum effort, even in the more 'rigorous' courses. There is absolutely no motivation for AP courses except for the one or two offered. There are minimum extracurricular activities that are notable around here. I would agree from an earlier ...  Read more

I currently attend this school. I come here from a different state from a high school situated on the border of mexico with nearly 1500 students. * In 2011-2012 Tennessee used the Gateway/End-of-Course (EOC) exams to test high school students in language arts, math, science and social studies upon completion of relevant courses. This year they introduced two new exams in algebra II and English III. Students must pass the algebra I, English II and biology I tests, called the Gateway exams, in order to graduate. The Gateway/EOC exams are standards-based tests that measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined by the state of Tennessee. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.
