However, it was not until college that I realized how little I had actually learned in high school. With the exception of math/calculus, I felt behind in my college courses. I do not believe ...  Read more

My name is Allyson and I attend North Side High. I just finished up my spphomore year, and I'm really looking forward to my junior year. North Side has definitely changed from how it used to be. (I know because both of my older brothers and many other people I know attended NSHS.) But it is not as bad ...  Read more

I am an alumus of North Side and I would recommend anyone go there. My brother and cousin now both attend and they would agree that it is a great school to spend four years of your life.

I would encourage anyone looking for a home in Jackson or Madison County to look in the North Side school zone. It is a great school, and myself and most other students would ...  Read more

* In 2011-2012 Tennessee used the Gateway/End-of-Course (EOC) exams to test high school students in language arts, math, science and social studies upon completion of relevant courses. This year they introduced two new exams in algebra II and English III. Students must pass the algebra I, English II and biology I tests, called the Gateway exams, in order to graduate. The Gateway/EOC exams are standards-based tests that measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined by the state of Tennessee. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.
