He came from a local public school (the best one in Hendersonville) and to no fault of the teachers there (the curriculum), he was not challenged to his fullest extent. Tuition is in line with other Nashville private schools and is well worth it. At SA, middle school begins in 5th grade which is a huge bonus. Enrolling our children in SA was the most comfortable decision we have made concerning our childrens education. Sumner academy goes beyond being a learning institution its an extended family. As a single parent I have benifited as well by the knowledge that my son is in an environment that is providing more than an education, he has been giving the desire to set the bar higher in his life.He has the esteem and assurance you don't typically find in a 13 year old, I don't call them teachers I call them mentors. Our son attended K-2 at Sumner Academy. Although we were happy with his academic environment due to relocating to a nearby city we placed him in the local public elementary school. After one year there, we withdrew him and re-enrolled him at Sumner Academy even though the transportation to and from school

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
