Overall I am very happy with Sango. My only concern is last year my child was in the 4th grade and they had a tremendous amount of homework. Also his backpack was very heavy and he wasn't allowed to use his wheels. I mean if I have problems lifting it, how do you expect a child to?

Although I applaud the efforts of some of the staff, I find that some of the teachers at this school lack the compassion to teach and develop each child equally. We are a career military family that chose our home location based on Sango Elementary's reputation for high standards, strong discipline, and an active parent-teacher association. As parent volunteers, we thoroughly enjoyed our time assisting in the classroom, and watching Mrs. Harrison in awe as she interacted and taught her class, as well as individual students. To see the learning 'lightbulbs' switch 'ON' made each week special. We look forward to 1st grade at Sango Elementary. Proud to be Sango Panthers! Very sincerely, Joe and Lisa Wall Read less

Sango follows the curriculum set by the state of Tennessee, but does so in an above and beyond method. The teachers level their curriculum to meet the needs of the students in their classrooms. This is difficult to do, and as a parent of a high performing student, I am extremely pleased. The teachers

If you only care about test scores this is a great school, but as others have pointed out this comes at a great price. While I agree in the importance of education, I feel that children should be given a comfortable place in which they are allowed to grow and develop. My daughter was forgotten in the

My son did not fit into the mold (which few boys do) that was expected of a student at this school and therefore was constantly being criticized.
