The teachers are great and I loved the after school art program, however the administration is horrible. We have lived elsewhere in the US and internationally and I have not experienced such poor administration. Trying to contact the school during the summers for shipment of records (both moving to

Even the school nurse gets an attitude when you tell her she is not following your insturctions. They expect leniency and forgiveness when they do not follow their own policies, however they do not give you the same benefit. My children (and I) absolutely loved their teachers, but when the children complain about how mean the principle is (and you agree) it makes it difficult to show a united front with authority and tell them she deserves their respect. As parents, we could not be happier with the education our daughter has received in her three years at Westview Elementary. Her teachers have been wonderful. We respect and appreciate the job Ms. Williams does as principal. I have a very hard time believing the story from the college student. Everyone

We have two children at Westview, and LOVE it. I only wish the school offered a visual arts class instead of having it outsourced as an after school program ( it was a GREAT program put together by Jennifer Strickler), however I believe it should be offered to ALL children by the school, not just those

I am relieved and appalled as I read through these reviews. They confirm, for the most part, what I already know. The school's curriculum and teachers are, overall, outstanding. Her teacher is caring and very sweet, though perhaps a bit unorganized. Her unprofessionalism brings the whole school into doubt. Read less

I hope the previous poster is not referring to Principal Mrs. Williams as the the 'rude un-named leader'. If so, I must take issue with that comment. Over the years, I have spent many hours helping in my kids' classrooms. Let me tell you something: this school is TOP-NOTCH. Mrs. Williams, in particular,

She looks out especially for the weak ones, like those with special needs. She does not tolerate any bullying whatsoever at this school. Yes, I have, on occasion, heard her yell at students if they're misbehaving. Don't we all? It's hard to manage a school of 700 students and keep everyone behaving 100% of the time. That's why this school has so few disciplinary problems. That's why your children can feel safe here. Read less
