Our son attends SBA and has since he was in Kindergarten. We believe this is the most excellent Christian school in the Southeast. Our son in challenged spiritually, academically, and athletically. The school has just completed a 2 million dollar project on their sports complex. Students now have

okay since the last review of silverdale wasn't very current i felt it should be updated, last year i went to silverdale for two years I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT the rules are ridiculous though i think there should be strict order in high school's most here are very over dramatic about there focus though

Also if you want your child to be big in sports THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT SCHOOL, they are currently making they're sporting fields but its will be around four years till finish so if you want to your child in high school here wait until at least 2011, you might get your money's worth then Read less

... Read more they get out of the car each day, I can feel good about leaving them. At this school, they are not just a number, they are known by name by almost every teacher. The principal knew my daugther by first and last name after her first week of school. She previously went to Grace Academy in kindergarten, where she was simply known as '#8'. SBA is wonderful. We the elementary school, teachers and especially the principal, Kim Thompson. She is wonderful with the children and parents. You can feel God's presence here. The middle school is another story. The principal is not Mrs. Thompson for sure. The care and compassion just is not there as in the
... Read more elementary school. The atmosphere is more focused on hand picking their students than being fair about new applicants. It loses the Godly feel to be sure. They do not seem to embrace children with learning differences at all. I am disappointed with the middle school unfortunately. This is a haven....it is without a doubt a God school and I am thrilled to have my 2 children in it. This world pulls our children in so many directions and it is nice to have a school that partners with you in raising godly children.

I have two students at SBA, and we absolutely love it. Both my son and daughter have been there since the inception of the school. The teachers are caring, loving, and well studied in their subjects. There are plenty of opportunities for extracurricular activities, as the sports programs continue

MY child went here for 3yrs. The first yr was great he had a very caring teacher. His fifth and sixth grade yr the school seem more concern on buliding up student enrollment then the student. Teachers seem to be overwhelm and unable to give extra help to the students that needed it.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.
Gifted and Talented
A school system may identify 10% to 15% or more of its student population as gifted and talented. A brief description of each area of giftedness or talent as defined by the Office of Gifted and Talented:

Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
