My child attended pre-K at Little Milligan and will begin kindergarten there this year. This school has a wonderful staff, from the teachers to the custodian! Everyone is helpful and wants the students to be successful.

my child goes to this school and i just had to complain to the school board about rude remarks being made to my child by the principle and when u talk to him about kids making fun of my kids he says that is life its part of growing up its just not right thats whats wrong with kids these days

Little Milligan is a great school and growing in extracurricular activities. They now offer band and karrate. As far a dog 'roaming the halls and sleeping in classrooms',I think it's a great atmosphere for the children to learn in! Since Jr.Campbell became principal,lots of new things are happening

It is a small school,everyone pretty much knows everyone. In small settings like Little Milligan,I feel students do better than larger schools. I think this school is the best! The teachers know the students by there first name instead of a number. I don't agree with the parent who didn't like the dog and talked about smoking outside. Well this still is the USA. Take your kid to the city if you don't like it. Those things do not concern me as
... Read more long as my children are getting an education and I believe they are at this school. We have some of the best and concerned teachers. They will go an extra mile for your child if needed. You never have to worry about trouble in this school because it is small and the teachers treat your kids like family. My children will continue at this school until high school. If you want your child cared for and get and education this is the school to send your child. It is the best! Read less

The students from this school go on to attend a sub-par local high school with a high drop out rate. There are virtually no extracurricular activities at Little Milligan, save for basketball, and teaching practices are archaic and mundane at best. Teachers at this school, while caring, need to update
... Read more classroom practices to modern, creative levels. Sitting for hours completing paper and pencil assignments does not, by itself, promote higher cognitive behaviors. I want my child to think and act her way through challenging situations. Read less

The students in this school and the ones who have gone on to High school have higher grade point averages on there tests and report cards then any other school in the area.

I am not impressed with this school. A chocolate labrador from a business across the street routinely roams the halls of Little Milligan, often sleeping in the classrooms. The bus drivers and some staff members can be seen smoking every afternoon on campus in front of the children as they are dismissed.

Some teachers will not go out of their way to provide classroom modifications for special students as they see the student body as 'just average,' and do not individualize instruction. Attempts to do so are short-lived and not in line with modern teaching practices. Read less
