Bulls Gap Middle School has the BEST Assistant Principal in Hawkins County-Maureen Morelock. I have taught with her at Church Hill Middle School and she is the most dedicated educator I have ever taught with in 13 years.

We are finally getting the new construction that we've been waiting on for so long! The school is getting new additions and renovations to correct the poor conditions and old sewer systems.Im hoping for a school that the children deserve . For the most part the teachers are very good at what they do
... Read more with a few exceptions . I hope that they get renovated as well. I'll be glad when it's all done and we can not have guilt over sending our kids into a school that stinks and has a heating system that has been known to not light on occasion. Yes it's an old pilot light that has to be lit and has had to be repaired on several occasions.I hope we will finally have a school to be proud of. The new principal is trying very hard and seems to have genuine concern for the kids. Read less

I think that the school has come a long way in the past couple of years. The teachers are wonderful and the principal is super nice. I just think that if more parents get involved in school activities they would see a big difference in how things go. I agree about the lunches my kids come home starving
... Read more because they say they don't get enough or that they didn't eat because they didn't like what the school was having that day. If you have any concerns about the school i suggest that you go and meet with the principal and discuss your concerns with her. I'm sure that she will do anything she can to take care of your problems. I give the school a 5 star rating. Please voice your opinion. They don't know how your feel unless you speak your mind. The building itself is in great need of repair, however new construction is underway. The teachers at this school have been wonderful to my child and I feel that I have been included in his education, which is important to me as a parent. If I have questions there is always someone at the school to

I went to Bulls Gap for three years and I honestly think it is a great place for students to learn.I was really scared when I first got there,but the teachers there were really nice and helped me get to all my classes.The only bad thing is that the school is in poor condition,bit this year they are remodeling

My children had to leave another county school due to zoning restrictions and I was fearful of what Bulls Gap would be like. However, I found that I was more pleased with this school than the first. All of the teachers I have encountered seem to love these children. The new principal this year is
... Read more really down to earth. (no goody-goody people here). The building is going to be renovated and added to beginning in 2008. As far as education, I can't say that I have figured that all out yet but I have noticed that hand-writing is stressed at this school and the other school never mentioned it. My kindergartner is using lined paper to practice and in class. I never could understand why it was never used in the other school. Although, the accelerated reading program does not seem to be as important at Bulls Gap. Read less

But in all due respect, there are some caring, dedicated and memorable teachers there who genuinely care about the children, and they shouldn't be overlooked. Read less

* In 2007-2008 Tennessee used the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) Achievement Test to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading/language arts, math, science and social studies, and in grades 5 and 8 in writing. Advanced Placement
