This school has top SAT and ACT scores as well as good teachers. There are a number of students not motivated to become anything nor any life goals and cause trouble for the 90% that do and take up a lot of admin time to deal with. We have had terrible experiences with this school. The teachers seem to care, although they lack the authority to control their classes. My daughter an A student in honors classes was discouraged from attending after she was ill and missed 6 weeks. On a regular basis I picked up and returned her work,
... Read more yet the counselour spoke with me, and said if she is not going to take school seriously she should just drop out. A friend while receiving his Masters in Education interned here. Basically, he was not allowed to teach and had to spoon feed the answers to the kids. Discouraged, he doesn't teach. Athletes not scholars are recognized and encouraged. I went to Carolina Forest for two years and the school is awesome. There are some really wonderful teachers who genuinely care about their student's success. The only thing that bothered me was guidance's attitude towards college. They almost discouraged students from applying to reach or dream schools

The athletes do get away with a lot. I went to school there and they would change my classes around to work with my football and wrestling. The administration staff is horrible. They just want to look good for the school board. But the teachers are great!

We had a horrible experience at this school. The adminstration was not accountable, numerous attempts to work with the school failed, no return calls or emails. Only time we had any response was when we involved the school board. Commerical for school vouchers.

If your child is involved in sports this school is great as those students get special privileges and are not made accountable for their actions while children who are not involved in sports are harassed for not being involved and every little thing they do is documented. Advanced Placement
